About Soren Vale

A writer, a producer,and a late-night thinker.

Soren Vale is a Bristol-based artist making electronic soul for the in-between moments: when the city goes quiet and the mind won’t. Close voices, fractured drums and worn-out synths, with the edges left in.

Raised above his father’s radio repair shop, he learned to hear the beauty in a bad connection. What began on a borrowed four-track became songs about distance, connection, and the things we keep to ourselves.

Electronic soul from Bristol. Close voices, fractured drums, and worn-out synths. Written after dark, with the edges left in.

Soren Vale makes songs from the things that linger: a half-finished conversation, the hum of an empty room, the long way home.

Raised above his father’s radio repair shop in Bristol, he learned to hear the beauty in a bad connection. His first recordings were made on a borrowed four-track, with the windows open and the city bleeding into every take.

Now, close-miked vocals meet fractured drums and worn-out synths. Electronic soul with its edges left in. Written, recorded and produced by Soren, usually long after everyone else has gone to sleep.

“I like the moment when a sound almost falls apart. That’s usually where the song starts.”— Soren Vale
